What is the meaning of Psalm 97:5
In this verse, the psalmist is describing the power and majesty of God. The imagery of the mountains melting like wax suggests that God’s presence is so great and powerful that it causes even the most solid and enduring things to melt and dissolve. The phrase “the Lord of the whole earth” emphasizes God’s sovereignty and authority over all of creation.
The verse can be seen as a reminder of God’s greatness and the awe-inspiring nature of his presence. It can also be interpreted as a call to worship and praise God, who is worthy of all honor and respect.
