Have you experienced the sweet, wonderful peace of God? I refer to an aspect of spiritual fruition whereby the Holy Spirit works in your life to produce this serenity and harmony that God wants each of us to enjoy despite whatever circumstances may arise in life.
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.“
– Philippians 4:7
If we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we can experience His soothing peace.
Even amid wars and turmoil in our world, it is possible for us to remain peaceful. When we put our trust and faith in God, we can experience his peace far exceeding any expectation we might have had. Jesus said as much in his teachings.
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
– John 14:27
True believers of Christ guided by the Holy Spirit possess a great sense of peace that cannot be found anywhere else. It’s available no matter where life leads them.
Peace can only come when we trust that our lives are in His care, realizing we’re never truly alone. Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace; by faith, we’re secure in his love and protection – never leaving us to go it alone as Psalmist David wrote about in Psalms:
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.“
– Psalm 23:4.
As Christians, we can walk confidently in God’s enduring presence while basking in his sweet peace. Through Him alone, we can enjoy an unshakeable peace.
God gives us peace within, which should be expressed through our interactions with others.
“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone“
– Romans 12:18
As we experience God’s wonderful peace, it is incumbent upon us to spread it with others so they too may experience its power in creating inner tranquillity. By reflecting its fruit in our lives, other people will also come into the fold and experience its richest outflow: God’s marvelous peace.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus“
– Philippians 4:6-7
Stay close to God as He fills you with His peace through the Holy Spirit. Don’t give in to worries and anxieties; rather focus your thoughts on his goodness and grace.
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.“
– Isaiah 26:3
I pray that you experience God’s calming peace as it fills your hearts and minds as you grow in grace and knowledge of Christ – the Prince of Peace.
